Not to be a cornball but I loved the footage of Dev walking through Washington Square Park playing Lorde’s new song on a boombox. I want everything to be natural-seeming: e-mails, dinners, parties, conversations with peers. I’m sick of over-produced events that are full of the same influencers, most of whom are paid to be there. I’m sick of clipped e-mails when the thing people are being clipped about doesn’t even matter. (What actually matters is something people need to address. In this economy, with everyone working fake e-mail jobs, we have to be hyper vigilant about what connotes a crisis. I would answer: Nothing. Nothing is a crisis anymore. It’s the only good thing about being alive now. I don’t know why, when this is the case, everything feels like a crisis to so many people.) I’m sick of my personal phone being my work phone. (Bring back having two phones!) What happened to house parties? Etc. Etc. Etc. What I meant to say was, Washington Square is the best park in New York. It feels like the start of summer. I am ready to have the best summer ever.
