How to decorate the most beautiful home of all time? Read a book!
I drove to Litchfield County at the crack of dawn Monday for Thanksgiving Week listening to the Wives are in Connecticut. My friend, the painter Sam McKinniss, has a lovely home decorated floor-to-ceiling in Christmas colors (and plaid). There are six coats of green lacquer paint in his living room. He’s a design genius. (You’ll soon see it in an Important Print Magazine, so I can’t share photos.)
I forced Sam to do a pull from his design library to give everyone some inspiration for the holidays.
