Marco Goecke, the German choreographer who smeared dog shit in the face of a dance critic in February 2023, has tentatively started to post on Instagram again. Congrats! I always say, post through it. People only harass you when you try to crawl back unnoticed. If you missed the story the first time around, the New York Times has it. My husband is obsessed with the line breaks in Goecke’s wikipedia page:

La Driving Shoes, Get your Haircut, watch lesser Justine Triet movies??

  • I met up with Alexis Page and she was wearing shoes with bells on them. “LA driving shoes.”

  • Who are the Capuchin Franciscans of Instagram? And what are they doing with Shia LaBeouf? Seems like an Ezra Marcus story.

  • Every single one of my friends got their hair cut at Ashley Javier this week, including my husband. (Who Ashley and I agree now looks “very GQ.”) He’s about to go to the Bahamas, where he now lives with his husband part-time, so get in while you can. While I was waiting for Joe to finish, Ashley gave me a copy of The Secret Language of Birthdays to peruse. I’m a psychic:

  • Merve Emre was interviewed by Write Like a Mother, where she discussed the filmography of Justine Triet. I’m a Triet super fan, Sibyl is one of my favorite films…

  • If you find extractions too painful, try Diane Higgins: DianeHigginsBB@aol.com. She does all her facials in a modest UES apartment. Don’t let the setting fool you; she’s a master.

  • The costumes were my favorite part of DOOM. SSENSE has the story. They’re ramping up editorial again…

  • Follow Giulia Lanaro on Instagram. A great Tumblr.

  • I played Dutch Blitz all weekend in CT. There’s a touch of a barrier to entry, but once you get the hang of it, very fun.

I asked Madelyn Marcoe—an 18-year-old downtown kid whose dad owns some bars you probably frequent—about her reading habits:
